TDS 2013 Winter/Spring Season is around the corner!!

What up Ballers?!

Who's ready for some TRIPLE DOUBLE SPORTS BASKETBALL?!  I can't even front, I'M EXCITED!

I've been running into the TDS community everywhere.  From the Warriors games, the mall, restaurants, Ikea, movie theaters, clubs, concerts and so on, i've been noticing the HUGE buzz around the upcoming season!!  Some people just say, "what up B, FEBRUARY!" And then people i'd be with would ask, WTH is that person talking about, but I KNOW.  

Here's a quick snap shot of the upcoming 32 team Winter/Spring Season.  I might let a few more team in the OPEN or the D2, but for now, i'd like to stick with 32 teams so that i'm only in that gym for 8-10 hours on a Sunday, haha.

The TOP 8 teams advance to the ELITE 8 and play for the Grand Prize (Team Trophy, Custom "CHAMPS" tees, Money Back and invite to play at our Ball So Hard Jamboree at 

ORACLE ARENA!!

The bottom 6 teams fall to the consolation bracket where they will battle for custom TripleDouble tees.

What up hoopers,

Here is the deal with the tourney.

On August 25th, teams will play the TWO game seeding round.  

The TOP 8 teams will move on to play for MONEY BACK, Custom Champion tees, Team Trophy and an invite to play at our Ball So Hard tourney at Oracle Arena before the Golden State Warriors game!

The bottom 6 teams will play for the consolation winners and will receive a Triple Double Sports custom logo tee! 

***NOTE: Matchups for August 25th were chosen randomly from a hat.  Then I placed the games according to peoples requests.  I tried my best to meet everyones needs.

I'm crunching all the numbers and counting how many games players have played.  You must play TWO REGULAR SEASON GAMES TO QUALIFY FOR PLAYOFFS!  We will have player names on the scoresheets prior to your game, so if a name has to be added, you must have it approved by me.

We start at 4PM this Sunday, so you have all morning and early afternoon to show your Father some love!

FYI: BALLS OUT, SC WARRIORS and HOOD NERDS have been suspended one game for receiving multiple TECHNICAL FOULS in one game.  This is the first warning for the ENTIRE LEAGUE, if this happens again, the violating team will LOSE one of their guaranteed 7 regular season games or lose the right to play in the playoffs. 

Please respect the officials and the school facility.  TDS is here to help bring the community together.  Majority of the players are playing in this league because they appreciate the HIGH competition, seeing new and old folks on a Sunday afternoon!  

PLEASE don't be that rotten apple that ruins this experience for everyone.  End of the day, I don't have to run this league.  I would love to have my Sundays back to chill, but i'm giving ya'll my time to have some quality run.  Feel me?

As I probably told everyone already, for the next 3 weeks (May 6th, 13th & 20th) there are AAU tourneys at most gyms.  With that said, the homies at Dream League let us use 4 hours at ISA.  

I've texted all the captains to confirm these times, so they are set in stone.  Please note the top half is for ISA and the bottom half is at SSF HS.

The reason i ask is because we are back to making a HUGE mess at a HIGH SCHOOL GYM. Lets not forget fella's that we are on a HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS. With that said, if you are caught smoking or drinking on the school grounds, you are subject to a SUSPENSION from our league without a refund. We found a DIRTY DIAPER near the water fountain!! Thats the second time!! Come on ya'll!!

I'm still looking for 1 or 2 teams, but DIVISION 2 - 6'2 Elite is FULL, sorry guys. If you are new 6'2 and under team entering in TripleDouble, Division 3 is the league you need! You can only have TWO players above 6'0 on the court at 1 time. If you have more then that, you might as well try to play in Division 2! This division is for teams that are rebuilding or just trying to get some exercise with some friends! Most defiantly, this is the entry level division into TripleDouble. If you haven't won the CHAMPIONSHIP in your previous league, then this is probably the division for you to work on your chemistry.

***If there are teams that don't belong in D2 or D3, we will re-evaluate ALL D2 and D3 teams after everyones 2nd game to make sure teams are in the right division.***

The last day featured the Semi Finals and Championship game. As the #1 seed, Frisco chose to play back to back games. Captain Jerry Showers didn't imagine that both games would go into OT and they would need to play 10 quarters win the WINTER HOOP CLASSIC! Mos Def a CLASSIC finish and well deserved! BIG UPS!

Sorry to say, but because of a double booking by the gym, we are unable to do the ALL STAR festivities. We were suppose to be at KEZAR! All good tho, all games will be at South San Francisco High School starting at 4:30PM with #3 Big Game Ballers vs #2 Street Cred and at 5:30pm #1 Frisco's Finest vs #4 Gamble Team. The Championship will take place at 6:45PM at SSF also.
