Eagles (47) v. Beastion (45)
Week 3 marks a week of big games! The first of which pits the Eagles versus Beastion! A close game throughout the Eagles led by no more than 6pts at the end of any quarter. Led by Quez (13p 11r 5a) and Maynard (5p 12r 6a 3s), the Eagles moved the rock around the floor with ease. They shot 43% (18-42) from the field and a perfect 6-6 from the line where they won the game! Unfortunately for Beastion, only Tyler showed up for this game scoring 26pts on 6-12 from behind the line! They really gave this game away at the free throw line where they shot a paltry 5-13 (38%)! Let's hope they shoot better from the line next week!

Dawgs (58) v. Bomb Squad (36)
This game had two teams that haven't faced defeat in this league this season! When Bomb Squad (2-0) faced off versus the Dawgs (1-0). The undermanned Dawgs (only 5 players) had all the cylinders working! They took control of the game from the word "go".
Ryan Sera, the Player of the Game, scored 18p (to go along with 5r 4a 1s) and Jalen, a key pickup, scored 17pts and grabbed 8rebs! As a team, the Bomb Squad had a horrible shooting from the field. They were a combined 32% (14-44 from the field)! Matty scored 10pts (0-4 3pt) and his brother Nick came late but still managed to lead his team in scoring with 14pts (2-5 3pt). Better luck next week fellas!

Dawgs (49) v. Boogie (47)
A second game of the day for the Dawgs as they take on a newly formed Boogie team! Dawgs held a small lead at the half, 25-22. The Boogie team took the lead back going into the final period behind a 21pt game from Sam Allen! But the Dawgs weren't done! Behind the efforts of POG, Jalen's 20p 5r 2s and Ryan Sera 11pts the Dawgs squeaked by Team Boogie, 49-47 on a last second shot made by Sera! With time running out team Boogie worked the ball down low to Matt Szeto and with some fancy footwork was able to dish it to Jose cutting down left side for the bucket with :07 left! The Dawgs then dribble to half court and call a timeout with :01.6 in the game! The inbounds was triggered by Dez who passed it to Ryan and with one dribble to the left let it go and swish as the buzzer sounded! What a game!

Gators (64) v. MonStars (58)
It's the Old School versus the New Skool as the Gators take on the MonStars! The MonStars are going through some growing pains! They've always got a quarter where they are blown out by so much that they can't overcome! This time it was the 3rd quarter. They were out scored by the Gators 26-11! The Gators did shoot the ball well (23-51 45%). They were led in scoring by Mike S. with 14pts and Stevie T. 13pts! The MonStars, on the other hand, showed some life behind Adonis (17p 9r) and Umar (15p 9r). If they can rid themselves of the bad quarter they'll surprise someone!

Hapanese (60) v. The Fam (34)
The Fam came into this matchup with Hapanese with just 5 players! Those 5 players were up for the challenge! After the 1st quarter, The Fam was up 18-15 but that was it I'm afraid! The Fam only was able to score 16pts the rest of the way. The shot a paltry 28% (13-46 from the field) and 29% from 3. Meanwhile, Tye (17p 8r 6a) and Mike (17p 11r 3a) held it down for Hapanese! They outscored The Fam, 45-16 from the second period on! Hapanese shot a blistering 25-45 (56% from the field) and 47% from beyond the arc! The Fam hope that they're players show up next week!

Team Royalty (52) v. GPC (40)
Once you can say is lucky.
Twice is nothing but a coincidence.
Three times is a streak!
Team Royalty is one win away from saying, "We're going streaking!" They have been playing well these past two weeks! Their shooting well and getting to all the loose balls! Ian (9p 10r 5s) AJ (15p) both had big games. On the other hand, GPC had a rough day shooting the ball. Besides Jordan Tso's 13pts & 7rebs, GPC didn't have much else! They shot 12-45 (27%) shooting from the field. That's not going to win many games. Hopefully, they can come back strong next week!

Strokers (49) v. Putties (41)
The champs are trying to right the loss that started off their title defense by taking on the Putties! The Stokers came out of the gates strong! Putting forth a 35-20 halftime lead! Giorgio scored 11pts, mostly due in part by the 3-3pt shots he made in the first quarter, and Justin had 12pts. Their balanced scoring was the difference in this game! They shot 43% (20-47) from the field, it wasn't a high percentage but it was high enough on this day! The Putties, after scoring 17pts in the opening quarter, only scored 16pts in the next two quarters combined! Jason scored 10pts and JMac grabbed 10rebs. The Putties need to get back on track next week!

Matty Wong's 34p 9r 4a 4s stat line was enough to bring the victory to Bomb Squad! Beastion's Tyler Lee led the way with 26pts (8-11 3pts) and 21pts from Nick Knight. The Fam shot 23-44 from the field (52%) and 10-19 from 3pt range (53%). For Team Royalty, AJ's 12pts and 3asts and Sean's 8pts and 10rebs led the way. Team Royalty shot a mere 13-41 (32%) from the field. They must improve on their outside shooting if they want to make some noise in this competitive division!

The Putties are back this season to try and make another run and they're joined by an oldie but goodie, The Gators (a team made up from the SF Eagles). The Putties played a great game of "team ball". Sharing the ball and playing defense were their keys to victory! Matt Lai and Clif led the team with 12pts a piece! JMac added 10pts and 8rebs as the Putties went on to beat the Gators 61-43! The Gators were led by Stephen who scored a game high 18pts and Dennis scored 9pts on 3-6 from 3pt range. The Gators look to rebound next week versus another newcomer, Hapanese.

For the MonStars only one of their players came to play! Maynard was 9-21 for 24pts and Adonis came through with 12r 3a 4s 5b! Unfortunately, his shot wasn't falling for him! The Dubs who moved up to D1 this season were led in scoring by MJ and Adlai both with 14pts. Both teams are looking to make some noise this year!

Beastion moved up this season to face the challenge of D1! The largest lead held by Bomb Squad at the end of any quarter was 6pts! Matty Wong's 34p 9r 4a 4s stat line was enough to bring the victory to Bomb Squad! Beastion's Tyler Lee led the way with 26pts (8-11 3pts) and 21pts from Nick Knight. Nice way to start for Bomb Squad!

The Fam (61) v. Team Royalty (30)
Both of these teams are returning from last season, retooled and ready to make a run at a championship! The Fam was led by James Soy who had 14pts (4-6 3pt) 5r 5a 5s and Warren's 12pts and 6rebs!

Putties (61) v. Gators (43)

Not a good shooting performance by either team but GPC played a little more "D" and won the game 44-29! Tommy Doan, the played of the game, shot 7-8 from the free throw line en route to a 15pt game to lead the team in scoring and Brian T. hauled down 10rebs! For the MonStars only one of their players came to play! Maynard was 9-21 for 24pts and Adonis came through with 12r 3a 4s 5b! Unfortunately, his shot wasn't falling for him! The Yay pull off the CHAMPIONSHIP!
2nd Round Playoff and Championship
(1)The Yay (47) v. (7)Cream of the Crop (42)
The second round of the playoffs began with (1) The Yay taking on upset minded (7) Cream of the Crop. The pace of the game favored The Crop, slow and steady. It was an evenly played first half w/ The Yay leading 25-21 at the intermission. Jon Hall did all he could, scoring game highs in points (25) and rebounds (21)! That was not enough as the Crop lacked that second scorer to put them over the top! The Yay on the other hand did have balanced scoring led by D'Angelo's 18p 12r 5s performance. A combination of Isaiah's 13p and Trevor Dunbar's 7 assists were just enough to put The Yay into the championship game with a 47-44 victory!

(3)Balls Out (67) v. (4)Primetime (52)
The second semifinal game pitted #3 seeded Balls Out versus #4 Primetime. Balls Out would be at full strength while Primetime would be missing their leading scorer, Mark McMahon and it showed! Primetime was only able to muster 13pts (5-26 19% from the field) in the entire first half! While Balls Out only shot 40% from the field in the first half it was more than enough to take a commanding 26-13 lead at the break. Balls Out was led by Greg Tang who had a season high 26p (7-12 from long range) and Kris continues his good shooting with 15p (5-9 from the field). Primetime's Joe tried to pick up the slack with a strong second half scoring 25 of his 26pts. Primetime also got contributions from Joachim and Ray who both chipped in with 10pts each to make the final score respectable. The final score was Balls Out 67-52! On to the 'ship!
