Week 4 Recaps and Game Video Links!

Week Four

PayProTec (70) v. Knights Bball (57)

Both teams were short handed in this battle of the titans! The Knights had the advantage with a strong first half and led 33-24 going into the break. Led by Ty's 20pts and Tommy's 19pt performance. The Knights ran out of gas as PayProTec out scored them by 22pts in the second half. Newcomer Jason Rockwell (16p 8r 5a 2s 2t) and Moe (18p 14r 2a 2s) flexed their muscles in the second half to extend their team's winning streak!

FULL GAME VIDEO:No stopping the PayProTec train this week

Jackson Arms (51) v. Jumpmen (68)

Jumpmen came out gates fast posting a 24-15 lead after the first 9min and never looked back as they evened their record to 2-2. Led by Joerdan's first double-double of the season (12p 10r) and by Dwight's stat stuffing 9p 5r 5a 2s, Jumpmen went on to win comfortably 68-51. Jackson Arms got contributions from John (13p) and Kevin (14p) and not much else from their players. After starting their season on fire, Jackson Arms has slowly been falling back to earth. They'll look to rebound next week!

Dawgs (68) v. Eagles DC (65)

This was our most exciting game of the day! The lead changing hands at a drop of a hat. With the Dawgs leading by three with seconds left to go, Rob (24pts) of the Eagles DC pulled up from 35ft and hits a game tying 3pt shot! But there was time left on the clock. Just enough time for John to dribble around and heave a 40ft shot with time expiring to win the game for the Dawgs! John received the in-bounds and was dribbling around with nowhere to go. He looked, to any bystander, that he was content to allow the clock to expire, but with a last ditch effort threw up the shot and hit it as the clocks hit 0:00!

Beast (58) v. Team Royalty (34)

Team Royalty put up a good fight for three quarters but did not have enough juice to win their first of the season, dropping them to 0-3. Despite a good game from Ian (12p 8r 5a) and AJ (11p 2r). Beast was playing to the level of their competition, until they ultimately pulled away in the final stanza! London led the way with 14pts and 12rebs and Tyler, after starting the game 0-5 from 3pt range, finished the game strong with 15pts and 5rebs!

FULL GAME VIDEO:Beast stays perfect

The Strokers (57) v. Dubs (40)

With a strong start from Ronnie (10pts) and and even stronger finish from Zack (15pts, 5-7 from 3pt range) The Strokers upended The Dubs 57-40! The Strokers shot 25-54 (46%) from the field and 9-19 (47% behind the arc). The Dubs had an awful shooting day. They were just 14-38 (37%) and from 3pt range they were 4-15 (27%)! Jayson, their leading scorer, was held to 7pts but grab a game high 13rebs. They need a better day from the field if they plan to make some noise in this division!

FULL GAME VIDEO: The Strokers bring back the Tenacious D

Rangers (73) v. Squadron (77)

A depleted Squadron team had to pick up two players from D2 but still were able to defeat the Rangers 77-72 in a highly entertaining game. Travis had a team high 26pts and newcomer Sam Allen added 17 as Squadron were able to pick up their first W! The Rangers got 23 from Geoff and a game high 32 from Taylor but free throws were a problem for them once again! They missed 4 free throws in the final period that led to their first defeat of the season.

FULL GAME VIDEO:Rangers take their first L

The Fam (47) v. Putties (71)

A good fight was put up for one half of basketball by The Fam, but unfortunately for them we play two halves! They had good games from Mike Ruben (19p 5r) and Adam Radman who collected a game high 12rebs! They need another person to step up in order to get far in this league! The Putties were led by Nate's 16pts and a trio of players had 9rebs (JMac, Szeto and Lai). The Putties (3-1) look like they're hitting their stride at the right time with the playoffs just right around the corner.
