Open 6'3
Week One
The Yay (62) v. Primetime (47)
The Yay started off this season on a mission! They broke open an 11-10 first quarter lead with a 24pt 2nd quarter then cruised all the way to the end beating Primetime by 15pts! The Yay was lead in scoring by Deandre with 23p 9r and by Jacob's floor game (4p 6r 9a). Primetime countered with Joe's 15p 6r and Tyrone's 11p 7r. They're, shorthanded, efforts were not enough to overcome that 2nd quarter! Next week, team captain promised that he'll have a full squad next week! Let's hope so...because the competition is for real!'

Cream of the Crop (52) v. Rangers (54)
This season brings the Rangers to the Open 6'3 division! The former champions of the Asian 6'3 division didn't have everyone in the fold this week. They were missing their starting backcourt so they needed some contributions from unlikely sources like Jay Hicks (16p 6r) and Clif (11p 5a). Their contributions were just enough to hold off a late surge from Cream of the Crop, 54-52! John's 13pt and Arj's 10pt 2nd half were just short of the victory! If Cream of the Crop can get to the games on time, they will be a force!

5 Star Ballers (70) v. Bay Area Kings (45)
The Bay Area Kings wanted to know the level of competition in this league so who better to face than the champions from last season...5 Star Ballers! They were in for a rude awakening! 5 Star Ballers came out strong and built a 20pt lead after the first quarter which allowed them to cruise to a 70-45 victory! Zo lead the way for 5 Star with 15p 5r 7a 3s 2b and Duney 13p 8r. The Bay Area Kings didn't know what hit them! They were down at the half 43-19! They made a little bit of a run in the 3rd period to cut the lead to 15pts but that was as close as they'd get! Williams led the team with 12p and Buckner had 11p. In the end, the saying goes like this...
"Be careful what you ask for...you might just get it!"

Don't Call It Frisco (62) v. Balls Out (67)
Balls Out returns for another season after coming oh so close to a championship in the previous. Big Brent led the way for BO with 21&5 and the speedy Jordan tossed in 15pts! It was a close game throughout, but Balls Out never lost the lead. Don't Call it Frisco did make it close. Cutting the lead to 3 with 3:00 to play. Sharpshooters, Cole (18pts) and Drew (16p 10r) did all that they could to keep the game tight! But their lack of a bench was their downfall! If they could get their players to the game and get the constant scoring from their shooters...Don't Call it Frisco will be a team to be reckoned with.
FULL GAME FOOTAGE: Balls Out finish the game the way they know how!

The Fam (60) v. Dubs (50)
The first round of the playoffs begins with The Fam versus the Dubs in this 4-5 matchup! Late season pickup of James Soy has brought huge dividends to The Fam squad. His 32p and a solid 10p & 10r effort by Jason Tejano has The Fam looking forward to next week as the face Beast! The Dubs have had an up and down season. A double-double from Jayson Dizon wasn't enough to bring the Dubs a victory! His running mate Yves had 13p as they fall in defeat to The Fam by 10! Looking for the Dubs to make some noise next season!

Strokers (61) v. Team Royalty (49)
After a strong start, the depleted Strokers team cruised along to a 61-49 victory over Team Royalty. The Strokers had only five players (because of Coachella) but they were enough. Good shooting and timely passing were two of the reasons they'll move on to the next round to face the Putties! Team Royalty put up a good fight with Ian's strong game (20p 10r) and Wayne contributing 11p 5r. Team Royalty needs to put forth that same effort next season! Thanks fellas!
FULL GAME FOOTAGE: Coachella couldn't even stop the Strokers!
