CHAMPIONS have been crowned!

Championships

D1

PayProTec (61) v. Jumpmen (55)

The Battle of the titans, as the defending champion PayProTec goes up against an upstart Jumpmen team. Jumpmen was able to get out to an early advantage by leading after the first half, 33-32. J & J security, James Maldonado and Joerdan DeGuzman each supplied 10 first half points to pace Jumpmen. The second half of the game brought out the defense! Battling for every loose ball, each team knowing this was the championship...leaving it all on the floor. PayProTec had the look of a champion! Moe, led the way with game highs of 16pts & 9rebs (ending his streak of double-doubles at 7) and Jason Rockwell contributed 13pts. Sean Caiola (the MVP) scored the final 6pts of the game, all from the free throw line, to seal the victory and gave PayProTec back-to-back titles!

Strokers (55) v. The Fam (44)

The D2 championship game brought #3 seeded Strokers versus #4 seed The Fam! Both teams came off upsets to meet in the here in the finals. The Fam were worthy opponents, but they didn't have the shooting prowess that they had come to get used to during their four game winning streak! Mid-season pickup James Soy did not have the touch he normally has. He had a rough shooting day (3-19 from the field, 0-11 from beyond the arc). Jason Tejano had 13p and 7r in a losing effort. The Strokers jumped out to a 34-17 lead at the half, behind Ray's 13 first half points (15 for the game). Ray was voted the MVP of the championship game! Behind the leadership of Lloyd Aguirre throughout the season, the Strokers team will be the team to beat next season as they defend their title!
