Week One Recaps!

Week 1 (Open)
Rock Center (67) v. Fly Squad (62)
The Open season of TripleDoubleSports opens up with Rock Center taking on a newcomer Fly Squad! The new team came out strong as they led at the half, 34-25! Leading the way for Fly Squad was Joe Scott  (20p 7r) and J. Philips (14pts). Fly Squad was showing their youth in the first half by beating Rock Center to every loose ball! Rock Center had to turn it around in the second half if they stood a chance and that they did by going on a 15-0 run in the third quarter! The Fly Squad didn't score until there was 1:45 left in the quarter! Outscoring them 21-6 in the quarter and claiming a lead that they would never relinquish! Byron led the way with 18pts and veteran Greg Tang added 10rebs as Rock Center went on to win, 67-62!

United Nations (49) v. Gamble Team (78)
Our next matchup brought a couple of old veteran teams in former champion United Nations versus a team that has been with TripleDouble since its inception, Gamble Team! The United Nations came into this game missing a few key pieces and played with just 5 players. Roy Giles had 16pts to pace UN and Will posted a double-double with 11pts and 15rebs! That was not enough to beat Gamble Team on this day! Bobby led the way with 26pts and Jovel was able to chip in 14pts. With a #fullsquad on board, Gamble went out and outscored UN 38-21 at the half and coasted to a shocker, 78-49!
