Primetime (49) v. Gamble Team (56)
Up next is a battle between two original TripleDoubleSports teams in the Gamble Team and Primetime! The first half was a half made up with good defense which led to bad shooting! Primetime shot the ball 10-34 (29%) versus the Gamble Team's 8-30 (27%) shooting in the first half. Primetime was leading 25-21 at the half! Kiyoshi led the way in scoring with 16pts and Jokeem, back from a long layoff, came in with 13pts, 5rebs and 5asts! Primetime only had 5 players and it showed! The second half came and the Gamble Team turned the game around. Mark scored 15pts and Alec had a game high 11rebs! The Gamble Teamcame all the way back to win the game, 56-49!

Ivan did all he could for Fly Squad scoring a season high for TripleDouble, 44pts! Although, Ivan had a big day scoring, the Knights still led at the half, 36-26! The Knights had a pretty even scoring day across the board! With the high scorer being Ares (18pts) and Simon (14pts)!  Larry contributed with a hard fought 12rebs! They pretty much cruised to the victory by the score of, 74-59!

Boogie Events (77) v. Eagles (76)
The first game of Division One was a battle versus two of the original teams in TripleDoubleSports when the Eagles take on Boogie Events! The Eagles shot the ball well in the first half hitting 15-30 (50%) fgs in the first half versus the 15-32 (47%) that Boogie Events shot! At the half, the Eagles were up 38-32! Alec led his team in scoring and rebounding (21p 8r) and shot the ball 8-12 shooting from the field. Meanwhile, Boogie Events was down by 7pts going into the final quarter! That's when they turned it on! Outscoring the Eagles 27-17 in the 4th quarter! Behind Rebo (28pts) and Manny (16pts) big 3pt shots with less than a minute on the clock! Boogie Events won the game, 77-74!

Squadron (59) v. Spartans (68)
The next game pitts a veteran team, Squadron, versus a new squad, Spartans! The Spartans come into their first season and are sitting pretty in first place at 3-1! Squadron was going without the full squad on the court...they had to make due with only 5 players throughout the entire game! Squadron played the Spartans tough in the first half, with the score 34-29 in favor of the Spartans! Travis (16pts) and Yuhki (14pts) combined to score 30pts but that wasn't nearly enough to beat the young Spartans team! John (Spartans) scored 11 of his 18pts in the fourth. Along with Errol, they hit 5-13 3pters in the second half to go on to win the game, 68-59!

Splash Kuyas (60) v. Kanji-Ka (52)
In the first matchup in the Division 2, we have the Splash Kuyas taking on Kanji-Ka! Kanji-Ka came in to this game a bit undermanned and against the Splash Kuyas being undermanned is going to be a problem! Carlo (KK) scored 11 of his teams 17pts in the first half! The score stood at 29-17 Splash Kuyas at the half! Che (15pts) and Paul (14pts) scored 29 of Kanji-Ka's 34pts in the second half. The Splash Kuyas were led in a balanced attack by Chris (13pts) and Jessie (11pts). Johnny had a nice floor game with 8asts and 4stls! Although, the Kanji-Ka had a nice second half it wasn't enough to overcome the lead the Splash Kuyas had built! The Splash Kuyas won, 60-52!

The Putties kept it close in the first half going 4-8 3pt range! Antonio led the team with a game high 24pts and JMac came up with a career high 17rebs! The score at halftime was, 40-28, SF Flight. The second half came and so did an extra man for SF Flight! Arj showed up after going to the wrong gym! Him showing up only made things harder for the Putties! John Calara (22pts) and Andrew Faro (20pts) used the 3pt line to their advantage! They, along with the other SF Flight, made 8-19 3pters in the second half! Week 5
Open League
Splash City (58) v. United Nations (74)
The fifth week of TripleDoubleSports begins with defending champs United Nations taking on Splash City! The game started on a sour note as Splash City only shot 8-27 (29.6%) fgs from the field while the United Nations shot the ball at a 52% clip (13-25 fgs)! Splash City was down at the half, 37-22. Wilson (SC) finished the day with 20pts and Fernando chipped in with 15pts. United Nations forward Jason Rockwell scored 15pts, all in the first half, and a late arriving Toby Merchant scored his 20pts! The second half was more competitive as each team scored 36pts. Playing to a tied score, although competitive, was not enough to catch United Nations! They won, 74-58!

Fly Squad (77) v. Big Game Ballers (82)
In this matchup, the undefeated Big Game Ballers look to continue their perfect season versus an upstart Fly Squad! On paper this was a mismatch of size and strength but as they say there's a reason we play the games!  The Fly Squad shot an unbelievable 6-7 3pt range in the first quarter to go up 24-23 at the end of one! Mike (27pts) and Wai (24pts) combined to score 51pts and were the main reasons why Fly Squad kept in the game! The Big Game Ballers kept their cool throughout the game and with the scoring of DeAngelo (23pts) and Isaiah (20pts) held off the Fly Squad, 82-77!

Rock Center (73) v. Boogie (37)
The finale of the day brought us Rock Center versus Team Boogie! The first quarter was quite competitive with Rock Center holding a 15-14 lead! In the second quarter, though, it was a whole different ballgame. Team Boogie only mustered 4pts in the quarter shooting a horrendous 2-15 fgs (13%)! At the half it was Rock Center leading 33-18! A huge defensive force by Brett C. was all that Rock Center would need! Along with the 9 blocks, he also had 16pts, 10rebs and 5asts! He really knew how to fill up a stat sheet! I expect that Team Boogie will put up a better effort next week after suffering their worst loss of the season! Rock Center wins, 73-37!

Spartans (61) v. Hapanese (64)
The Division 1 starts up with Hapanese taking on the undefeated, first place Spartans squad! Hapanese was going into battle with just enough players (5) to play but they were up for the challenge! Ryan Sera (23pts) and Tye (15p 5a) were ready for the confrontation. At the half, Hapanese were leading 33-30. The game was pretty tight with each team shooting well (H 12-24fgs; S 12-25fgs). The Spartans weren't going down without a fight! Wai, who got his normal double-double (20p 11r), and Captain Errol (17pts) were not giving up hope but they really just ran out of time! SF Flight (67) v. Beastion (58)
Division 2 starts with a battle between SF Flight versus Beastion! This game began like it was an old school shootout! It was uncharacteristic of Beastion take this many 3pt shots but if it's what it takes to win they'd do it! They shot 6-13 from 3pt range and SF Flight shot it at a 60% clip (9-15 3pt). Beastion trailed at the half, 38-32. Phil (16pts) and Matt (12pts) led the way in scoring and London hauled down a game high 10rebs!
