Asian D1 - Week 2 recaps

🏀Winter Asian 6'2 and Under D1 Recaps🏀
Week 2
Bomb Squad (52) v. Squadron (56)
The second week of TripleDoubleSports kicked off with a battle of two veteran teams in Bomb Squad and Squadron!
Bomb Squad made a couple of additions to bolster their roster by adding two powerhouses in Moe and Tye! The two of them should bring the Bomb Squad to become one of the best teams in the league! But they will need a couple of weeks to gel. The Bomb Squad didn't have their complete team but they did have the lead late in the game.
Squadron came into this season with two new guns as well! Tay and Tyler were two key additions that were added to the team to try and put them over the top! Tyler hit his first 3 shots (all 3pters) and put Squadron ahead early! They fell behind early in the fourth quarter but Yukhi (24pts) came up with 3 straight 3pt shots to put them ahead for good!
Squadron went on to win, 56-52!

Boogie (51) v. Go Get It (59)
Next up, is a battle between Go Get It, who are coming off a week one victory, and a re-booted Boogie squad playing their first game of the season!
The Boogie squad was still getting to know each other in the first half so they only scored 14pts in the entire first half (5pts in the first quarter and 9pts in the second)! Boogie did out score Go Get It in the second half 37-28! TK found his shot in the second half and finished the game with 17pts and Rebo scored 18pts!
Go Get It team jumped out in front of Boogie early and often! Leading at the half, 31-14! Led in scoring by Mike with 19pts! He was aggressively taking the ball to the hoop! Goof was the playmaker of the day for Go Get It leading the squad with 5asts.
Go Get It fought off the Boogie squad holding off to win, 59-51!

Hapanese (65) v. Spartans (71)
A welcome back shout out goes to Errol Fernandez and the Spartans squad and their test this week comes in the form of Hapanese!
The Spartans squad picked up where they left off last week by shooting 16-31 fgs (52%) in the first half of play! Wai was his dominant self as he not only scored a league high 31pts he also put together a nice all around floor game (8r 5a 7s)! He along with John (14pts) paced the Spartans as they scored 20pts in each of the first two quarters en route to a 40-29 halftime advantage!
Hapanese tried with all their might to overcome the 20-7 1st quarter deficit. Ryan Sera (27pts) and Arrin (20pts) were the offense for Hapanese. Maybe if they had an extra body...that would have made a difference! They out scored the Spartans 58-51 in the final three quarters but fell at the end, 71-65!

Bulls (57) v. CCU Ambassadors (60)
The final game of the day was a battle between the CCU Ambassadors versus the Bulls! These two teams experienced different outcomes in the first week but what will the second week bestow?
The Bulls seemed ready for the game with CCU! Joe showed off his long range bombs early hitting on all 4 of his attempts in the first half! Joaquin was steady from the free throw line making all 7! He finished the game with 17pts! The Bulls led at the half, 32-26!
CCU Ambassadors played well, but the only part of their game that was lacking was their free throw shooting!? The normally steady shooting team struggled mightily! They shot 11-25 fts (44%)! The game wouldn't have been so close if they were better from the line! Chris (25pts) and Jeremy (22p) carried the offense for the Ambassadors! They were able to hold on and win, 60-57!
