Week 1 (Open)
Rock Center (67) v. Fly Squad (62)
The Open season of TripleDoubleSports opens up with Rock Center taking on a newcomer Fly Squad! The new team came out strong as they led at the half, 34-25! Leading the way for Fly Squad was Joe Scott (20p 7r) and J. Philips (14pts). Fly Squad was showing their youth in the first half by beating Rock Center to every loose ball! Rock Center had to turn it around in the second half if they stood a chance and that they did by going on a 15-0 run in the third quarter! The Fly Squad didn't score until there was 1:45 left in the quarter! Outscoring them 21-6 in the quarter and claiming a lead that they would never relinquish! Byron led the way with 18pts and veteran Greg Tang added 10rebs as Rock Center went on to win, 67-62!

United Nations (49) v. Gamble Team (78)
Our next matchup brought a couple of old veteran teams in former champion United Nations versus a team that has been with TripleDouble since its inception, Gamble Team! The United Nations came into this game missing a few key pieces and played with just 5 players. Roy Giles had 16pts to pace UN and Will posted a double-double with 11pts and 15rebs! That was not enough to beat Gamble Team on this day! Bobby led the way with 26pts and Jovel was able to chip in 14pts. With a #fullsquad on board, Gamble went out and outscored UN 38-21 at the half and coasted to a shocker, 78-49!

Go Get It (76) v. Bomb Squad (59)
A long season that was full of excitement is now coming to an end with #2 seeded Go Get It versus #5 Bomb Squad in a rematch of powerhouses! The three headed monster of Nick, Kyle and Matty Wong combined for 53pts...that would be enough any other game but this is the championship game and Go Get It had it going! The games Most Valuable Player, Jason Rockwell aka JRock, showed up big time for Go Get It! He posted a double-double going for 15pts and 10rebs! Sean Caiola, the MVP of last season, chipped in with 19pts! Thank you to both teams for another great season!

The Gators were going for back to back championships but the Putties weren't going to go away lightly...they were in it to win it! The Putties were ahead at halftime 36-29 behind the hot shooting of Clif Szeto (16 of his 27pts in the first half) and the double-double of Matt Szeto (14p 11r)! The champs weren't going down that easily! The Gators turned up the "D" in the third period! Championship preview!
Keys to Victory 🏀
D1
(2) Go Get It v. (5) Bomb Squad
(2) Go Get It
The key to another championship lies all on their shoulders! I think that the loss the sustained at the end of the season put some perspective on the season. That any team could beat you on any given day! Go Get It just needs to play to their strengths! Have Moe post up down low and have Sean and JRock outside on the wings. That's a winning combination!
.
(5) Bomb Squad
They weren't supposed to be here in this game but they persevered and are now on a collision course with Go Get It! They played earlier in the season with the outcome not in their favor. So, a sense of revenge is in order! On paper, it looks as if Bomb Squad is overmatched, but if the Wong brothers come out ready to play this should be an outstanding matchup!
.
D2
(2) Gators v. (5) Putties
(2) Gators
The Gators are looking for back to back championships but standing in their way are the Putties! The Gators need a lot from the law firm of Jordan and Joerdan to get the to their second consecutive trophy! Don't forget about Mikey's drives to the hole and Captain Ron Quimel's patented 15ft baseline jumper as well! This is gonna be a good matchup!
.
(5) Putties
The Putties have come close in the past but in order to get to the top of the hill they'll have to get past the defending champs! Szeto and Jmac will need to play big and the third scorer has to come through for them to win, but who will the third scorer be? JLee, Matt Lai, Clif or KC? Whomever it will be they need him to step up this game! It's time to put up or shut up!
