Week 1 scores, recaps & videos!

🏀Fall Asian D3
🏀Week 1
Skulls (38) v. Saints (54)
TripleDoubleSports is back at it again! This time bringing you the Rec Division! Starting off our campaign is a battle between the Saints versus newcomers to our TripleDouble family, The Skulls!
The Skulls started the game in a rut! Still trying to figure things out. They were only able to score 6pts in each of the first two quarters for a total of 12pts for the entire first half! After the break, they were able to score a bit more often! Scoring 26pts after halftime for a respectable 38pts! Mervyn (14pts) and Percy (11pts) were their leading scorers. Justin came through with amazing defense as he ended the game with 3 steals!
The Saints had their share of troubles last season, but with a full season under their belts they were in for a much better outcome! Lamar led the way with 16pts. Running and slashing thru the lane like he stole something! David held his own in the lane. Showing that he was a force to be reckoned with! His 14pts and a game high 10 rebounds set the pace for the Saints. Team captain, Mike Lim, played a great floor game! Grabbing 7 rebounds, dishing out 5 assists as well as getting 3 steals to boot! The Saints were in control of the game from the jump (14-6 after the first). They were able to lengthen their lead in each of the first three quarters! They went on to cruise to a 54-38 victory!

Dream Enders (55) v. Second Wind (37)
Next into battle are a couple of new teams to our league! The Dream Enders versus Second Wind. Although these are new teams to TripleDoubleSports their are a couple of familiar faces in different places this season!
After a couple of misses by both teams, Captain Kel of Second Wind began the game with a bomb from deep to break the ice! The game was tied after the first quarter at 11 apiece! John Calara led the boys from Second Wind in scoring with 14pts but shot only 5-16 fgs (31%) including a doughnut from behind the arc (0-7)! Ivan and Law both contributed 8pts & 2stls each. They played a tightly contested first half with Second Wind slightly trailing, 24-20!
The Dream Enders were embarking on their first season in TripleDoubleSports. They're led by Michael, a SC Threat Matrix team member last season. Michael showed his leadership as he led his team in scoring with 13pts and Wil played a huge role in the teams first game as he did it all! Scoring 9pts, 9rebs and a game high 6asts! The two teams were knotted up at 13 thru the third quarter but in the fourth their defense stood up! They were able to outscore Second Wind 18-4, to win the game going away! The final score was, 55-37!

SC Threat Matrix (58) v. Guap (68)
After taking a break, Team Guap was back and their first test were veterans SC Threat Matrix! Would the young legs of Guap be enough to dethrone SC Threat Matrix? Only time will tell...
SC Threat Matrix came into the game missing a couple of key members but Captain Chris Knight had his brother Nick there by his side! The bros showed out with a combined 35pts and 17rebs! They were a duo to be reckoned with. Wilson, in his TDS debut, racked up 11pts on 4-10 fgs (40%). SC Threat Matrix trailed at the half by the slimmest of margins, 23-22!
The youngsters from Guap, led into battle by non-other than scorekeeper extraordinaire Adonis, knew they were in for a battle! Their 12-man roster turned out to be 6 actually showing up for the game. But I was assured by Adonis that, "More people will show up next week!" Little did I know, 6 players were all they would need! Adonis, Maynard and Nick would start off the second half by hitting on consecutive 3's! Building their led to double digits and one they would never relinquish! Guap won the game, 68-58!

DRP Jets (53) v. Jackson Arms (49)
Just like the last game you saw the return of a team that has been in TDS before and we welcome them back, Jackson Arms! Their first task would be to take on a new member to the TripleDouble family, DRP Jets!
Jackson Arms came out shooting from long distance! Eddie, the son of our cameraman Jopee, was on fire! He shot 6-9 3pts (67%) for a team high 18pts and Shawn chipped in with a respectable 10pts & 9rebs. PG Jason Remolona dished out 5 assists in limited time! They were a combined 6-11 3pts (55%) in the first half! Which ultimately gave Jackson Arms a 5pt lead at halftime (30-25).
DRP Jets weren't done tho! After playing the third quarter to a tie and the Jets still trailing by 5pts they turned up the defense! They held Jackson Arms to 3-13 fgs (23%) shooting in the final quarter. JR (26pts) and Nick (13pts) solidified the DRP Jets! With only 5 players for the game they seemed to get stronger as the game went on! The were able to outscore them, 18-9, in the fourth period to go on to win the game by a score of, 53-49!
