Smoking Eagles soar past the SFPD

Our first contest featured the Smoking Eagles versus the SFPD in their own version of a good ol’ 3-point shootout. The SFPD entered the game without their leading scorer, Tommy Moran, which meant the bulk of the scoring was left to Keith Murphy. Murphy proved that he was up to the challenge by scoring a team high 23 points. Team captain, Marvin Cabuntala chipped in with a season high 13 points and 5 rebounds, knocking down 3-for-4 from long distance. On the flip side, the Smoking Eagles newly acquired big man, Prabe B., paid instant dividends (12pts, 13rebs), but it was beyond the arc where this one was won. The Smoking Eagles backcourt trio of Jose Gonzalez, Brandon Mamaradlo and Juan Bidinger were a combined 11-for-23 from the land of 3’s. Bidinger led the way with a game-high 27pts, 4rebs and 3asts. The addition of Prabe should put the Smoking Eagles in a good position for the remainder of the season and into the playoffs.
